To minimize side effects and get your body used to the meds, we start you off on a low dose and gradually increase — every 4 weeks — until we hit your target maintenance dose.

• Month 1: 0.25 mg/week

• Month 2: 0.5 mg/week

• Month 3: 1.0 mg/week

• Months 4+: 1.0-2.5mg/week

At the 3-month mark, we’ll work with you to figure out what’s right for you. Most people feel great on 1.0mg/week and stay there, some continue increasing to 2.5mg/week, some even go back down!

For veterans (those who’ve been on semaglutide before):
